HO 1.424 stopped working – use HO 1.425 Beta

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Update (08.08.2009):
HT-Chris has reactivated our old CHPP key for some days (there were probably to many complaints :-) ).
That means that you can continue using HO 1.424 for now until the official HO 1.425 will come out.
You do not need to install the Beta version anymore.

Quote by aYcon in the HO forum:

Hattrick released a new update on their servers today. This update included the ban for all outdated CHPP-IDs. Unforunately this affects HO 1.424 because we had a ID change when the CHPP license was transferred the last time. HO 1.424 uses the old ID and is now (unintentionally) banned on HT servers. We contacted the CHPP staff, but it seems like they can’t / won’t change anything on their side.

That means, HO 1.424 won’t ever get a working HT connection.

When trying to connect to HT with HO 1.424, you will get the error: “Error Login Failed – maybe wrong password – make sure that you use the securitycode, not the HT-Password”
We were working on a new HO release and this does – of course – use the new CHPP ID. It can connect to HT without any problems, but is only in beta stage at the moment.

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

I’m currently preparing Debian Linux packages (.deb) for HO to make it easier for Linux users to install Hattrick Organizer.

If you are using Debian or Ubuntu, please try the following steps to install the (beta) debian package.

HT-Deutschlandtreffen 2009 – Nachlese

Sunday, June 7th, 2009

New Hattrick tool: HTStickers team photo!

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

teamphoto2-smallI found a nice new online tool for Hattrick, the HTStickers team photo by manager HM-uncoke!

Just put the HTML source code of your Hattrick player page into the website and it creates a photo of your team. Very nice and very funny to see! ;-)

flattermann.net becomes beer-ware ;-)

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

As we all know, getting some monetary appreciation for your (open source) work is not easy.

Everybody likes to use open source software / projects /content, but most people are not willing to contribute to these project.

Let’s take a look at flattermann.net. My main open source projects at the moment are Hattrick Organizer (aYcon and I are the only developers for HO1), OpenTableTrick (it’s just me) and research for Hattrick.org (I did create the new rating prediction and the new training speed prediction formulas).

  • Hattrick Organizer is by far the most popular manager assistant for Hattrick.org (we have around 100.000 downloads per month)
  • OpenTableTrick was downloaded more than 2.200 times since its release at christmas 2008
  • The (rating/training) prediction formulas that I’ve created are the most accurate formulas for Hattrick.org (as far as I know), they are incorporated in many other Hattrick.org tools

This blog has a donate button for some time, but until now, nobody has donated a single cent.

I’ve also tried to get some revenue by adding Google ads to the page, but (of course) nobody clicks on these ads. Google does not pay anything for just showing the ads, only for clicks on them.

To be honest, I do not click on ads on other sites either and I also have AdBlock plus installed. ;-)

Nevertheless, I spend a nice amount of time for these open source projects, so it’s a little bit disappointing… I don’t want to get rich with open source projects, but it would be nice if I could pay the server rent or my Hattrick.org supportership with donations.

Therefore, I’ve added a new way to support me:

You can now buy me a beer!

At the end of every post, there is now a “Buy me a beer” button. If you like to easy my pain, then use it and buy me one. :-)

Alternatively, I do also accept donations for coffee or cigarettes, the programmer’s favourite “food”. ;-)
