Download HO 1.425 from here: here.
As always, there are different versions for you to download.

Choose among the following:

• .deb = Debian/Ubuntu Linux package (Install in a terminal via: sudo dpkg -i XXX.deb)
• .dmg.gz = Apple Mac package (Mount the DMG and pull it into your Applications folder)
• .rpm = SuSE/RedHat Linux package (Install in a terminal via: sudo rpm -i XXX.rpm)
• .exe = Windows Installer (Install via double-click and follow the on-screen instructions)
• .zip = platform independend version (no special installer included)

Special Notes:

We changed the minimum Java version starting with this release to Sun Java 1.5 (aka JRE5).
Please update your Java installation if needed.

Update (08.08.2009):
HT-Chris has reactivated our old CHPP key for some days (there were probably to many complaints ).
That means that you can continue using HO 1.424 for now until the official HO 1.425 will come out.
You do not need to install the Beta version anymore.

• Or you can wait until we release an new official version. I have to add, that we don’t know any downsides of the latest beta version. Just minor issues – which were also in HO 1.424 or affect new features only. Plus, the next release will probably be quite similar to the latest beta.

We are preparing an official HO 1.425 at the moment that will be published in the next days. Until then, feel free to use the HO 1.425 Beta.

If you are using Debian or Ubuntu, please try the following steps to install the (beta) debian package.

• Download the recent .deb from:

• Open a terminal and install the .deb file:

sudo dpkg -i HO_1425_BETA_trunk_rXXX_YYYYYYYY.deb

If the installation was successful, a new icon should appear in the menu (“Games”).
You can either start HO via this icon or by starting “/usr/bin/ho1-beta”

This HO version will store its user files in the directory “~/.hattrickorganizer” in your home directory.

Everybody likes to use open source software / projects /content, but most people are not willing to contribute to these project.

Let’s take a look at flattermann.net. My main open source projects at the moment are Hattrick Organizer (aYcon and I are the only developers for HO1), OpenTableTrick (it’s just me) and research for Hattrick.org (I did create the new rating prediction and the new training speed prediction formulas).

• Hattrick Organizer is by far the most popular manager assistant for Hattrick.org (we have around 100.000 downloads per month)
• OpenTableTrick was downloaded more than 2.200 times since its release at christmas 2008
• The (rating/training) prediction formulas that I’ve created are the most accurate formulas for Hattrick.org (as far as I know), they are incorporated in many other Hattrick.org tools

This blog has a donate button for some time, but until now, nobody has donated a single cent.

I’ve also tried to get some revenue by adding Google ads to the page, but (of course) nobody clicks on these ads. Google does not pay anything for just showing the ads, only for clicks on them.

To be honest, I do not click on ads on other sites either and I also have AdBlock plus installed.

Nevertheless, I spend a nice amount of time for these open source projects, so it’s a little bit disappointing… I don’t want to get rich with open source projects, but it would be nice if I could pay the server rent or my Hattrick.org supportership with donations.
