    Can I ask a quick question here?
    The Squeezebox Duet Controller has a nice (beta) feature you can activate: Acting not just as a controller but also as player.

    Is this possible with the SqueezeCommander as well?

    I like streaming music from my Squeezebox Server or Last.fm to the controller listening with earphones.

    It would be even better with an Android device …

    Streaming playback does not work with SqueezeCommander, yet, but I’m working on it. :-)

    In the meantime, you can use a Streaming Player App for Android and point it to
    http://yourserverip:9000/stream.mp3

    You can control the stream using SqueezeCommander.

    Is there anyway to get and pay for this application without access to the android marketplace. In ireland we do not have access to paid apps right now.

    SqueezeCommander is also available on SlideME.org:

    SlideME offers paid apps in almost any country using a credit card or Amazon payments.

    Don’t worry! :-)

    I’m currently preparing the next SqueezeCommander release (0.9.4.3) with many bugfixes and improvements.
    (Alarms, Sleep, Rating support for LastFM/Pandora/Slacker, …)
